Ethan Bai
M.Ost, BHSc
Ethan has an active history growing up in New Zealand, working out how to have fun and excelling in the areas he focuses on. For several years he represented New Zealand in gymnastics. He played 1st XV rugby throughout high school and travelled to Samoa for a tour with his team. He completed his Bachelors in Health Science (Human Biology) where he earned a scholarship for his Masters in Osteopathy. More recently, he has traveled around the world spending most of his time in Canada learning to snowboard and connecting with people from different backgrounds.
Ethan believes that life is about enjoying your time here and finding realistic ways to pursue your passions. He is passionate about helping people feel confident in their bodies to enjoy what life has to offer. Whether your goal is to get out of pain, return to work, perform your best in sport, or simply understand what’s going on, Ethan believes his role is to help you find a clear path forward. And if you’re feeling worried, frustrated, or overwhelmed, that’s okay too, you don’t need to have all the answers before you walk through the door.
Ethan believes the best outcomes come from working together. You know your body and your goals better than anyone, and his job is to combine that with clinical expertise to create a plan that’s practical, evidence based, and tailored to you. Along the way, he will help you understand what’s happening, answer your questions, and give you the tools to feel more in control of your recovery.
Rather than simply treating where it hurts, Ethan looks at how your whole body moves to understand what may be contributing to the problem. For example, instead of repeatedly treating a sore shoulder, he may identify and address the movement patterns placing extra strain on it. His aim is not only to help you feel better now, but to reduce the chance of the problem returning and help you get back to doing what matters most to you.
