After graduating with a Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science from the Eastern Institute of Technology in Hawke’s Bay, he injured his lower back in the gym. During his study at Unitec, he has written a thesis on lower back pain and spondylolisthesis.

Manuel recognises that everyone is unique and requires a tailor-made treatment for their personal needs. He likes to incorporate the years of study he has done on the human body to find the best solution for his patients to get them pain-free and functioning better faster. During his treatments, Manuel utilises a wide range of management options from direct structural osteopathic techniques, which improve mobility and flexibility of joints and muscles, alongside self-management options such as exercise prescription to strengthen key muscles and sleep and stress management advice.

Outside of being an Osteopath, Manuel loves to spend time with his family and being in the outdoors hiking. He also enjoys archery, calisthenics, cycling, weightlifting, and generally being active.
