Manuel Mauch M.Ost, B.AppSci, BSExSC, Dip BRS
NZ Registered Osteopath

Manuel was born in Germany, and he moved to New Zealand over 20 years ago. From a young age he knew he wanted to do something to help people. He started out by studying to become a personal trainer. After graduating with a Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science from the Eastern Institute of Technology in Hawke’s Bay, he injured his lower back in the gym. This was when he sought help from an Osteopath and realised where his real passion lay. Since then, Manuel has graduated from Unitec in Auckland with a Bachelors in Applied Human Biology and a Post Graduate Masters in Osteopathy. During his study at Unitec, he has written a thesis on lower back pain and spondylolisthesis.

Manuel recognises that everyone is unique and requires a tailor-made treatment for their personal needs. He likes to incorporate the years of study he has done on the human body to find the best solution for his patients to get them pain-free and functioning better faster. During his treatments, Manuel utilises a wide range of management options from direct structural osteopathic techniques, which improve mobility and flexibility of joints and muscles, alongside self-management options such as exercise prescription to strengthen key muscles and sleep and stress management advice.

Outside of being an Osteopath, Manuel loves to spend time with his family and being in the outdoors hiking. He also enjoys archery, calisthenics, cycling, weightlifting, and generally being active.
